It’s finally here!  The moment we’ve been watching and praying for the past couple months.  Teenagers from all over New England will be gathering in the Mullins Center - TOMORROW!  Worshipping God in one place.  I am really really really excited!  Who wants to hear some funny stories from the long drive?  We started in Texas at 4pm on Tuesday and got to Mass this morning at 7am.  Dunkin Donuts is way better up here than the south!

Ready for a few funny encounters from the road trip?

1 - my cell phone somehow decided to dive into a cooler full of water.  So my apologies to anyone who might be trying to call me on my cell and can’t reach me.  You can still call my work ext 903-324-8239 and my assistant Liz is hooking me up for the week.

2 - the call team had some wicked awesome mad crazy dance parties in the car.

3 - the first part of the trip was taking much longer than the last half.  From NJ to Amherst, I think we made it in 5 hours, would you say that’s good timing?  I think that’s good timing.  FYI - Virginia is no short little state!  I think my love for VA has gone down the tubes.

Well … I have blabbed on long enough.  I really am looking forward to seeing so many of you this weekend.  Andrew with your group of over 100 students.  Dave McCahon has been helping get a lot of kids from Springfield and from other churches.  Kurt McWilliams - I PROMISE I will have your seating set when you see me at the table.

Liz was joking with me but come tomorrow I will be a really popular person.  And I believe it, I get to see the coolest yp’s in the US of A!

Hey New England,

Just one more week!  I am getting more and more excited as we get closer to the event.  I believe in the area some people are hearing about it on the radio now too.  Let me know if you need any help at all.  Many people responded asking for the schedule and between myself and my other great assistants I think everyone who needed a schedule has gotten one now.

Next week be on the lookout for the team, we’ll be working the front table and feel free to come by and say hi to the Amherst Call Team.  We are heading out to New England on Tuesday, so if you have any last minute questions, get your calls in before Tuesday noon.

Many people have been asking for the event schedule for the weekend and I wanted to get it out there for everyone since the event is so close.

How many people got the recording for Amherst the other day?  I think another one will be going out.  There coule be some overlap so forgive me if it’s the second one you get next week.

Detail filled post.   First allow me to personally apologize for any details you have not been able to find on the website and let me correct all of that in this blog posting.

1 - New Director - myself Shawn Vrieling - 903-324-8239.  Temporarily I have been putting posts up as Ivy until the creators of this site get it changed for me.

2 - Band Updates - Worship is still Unhindered.  In the past week some of our bands have changed around and in the next 4 weeks they should not change anymore.  Kutless, Building 429, and Ruth.  Those are the bands.  I am sorry to tell you that Everyday Sunday will not be playing at the event.

6 - Promotional Material - we have DVD’s, flyers, and even parent invitations.  We want every group to register the parents of the students your bringing.  You will want to see every students parents be at the event, we are doing some cool things this year we have never done before.
